Find Dent County Release Dates

A Dent County projected release date depends on the kind of custody and the legal stage of the case. A person awaiting trial may have no fixed exit date because bond, court orders, and other holds control the timing. A sentenced county inmate needs the sheriff's computation and judgment. A state prisoner has dates administered by Missouri corrections, but parole eligibility, conditional release, maximum discharge, and actual departure are not the same event. To learn when they will be released, identify the custodian first, read the date label exactly, and confirm whether another agency will take custody.

Dent County Projected Versus Actual Release

A projected date is an administrative estimate based on information recorded at that point in time. It may reflect sentence length, jail-time credit, sentence structure, eligibility rules, or a Board action. An actual release date records when a custodian ended or transferred custody. The dates can differ without either record being false.

A court may sign an order before jail staff finish checking warrants and holds. DOC may set a parole or conditional-release date before all prerequisites are complete. Transportation to another jail, state prison, federal authority, or immigration custody can close one custody episode without placing the person in the community. Always ask what the date means and who held the person afterward.

Scheduled versus actual: a scheduled date predicts an event. The jail, DOC, or receiving agency's custody transaction confirms what actually occurred.

Parole eligibility
The point when the Missouri Parole Board may consider release, not a promise that release will occur.
Conditional release
Supervised community custody during the final portion of certain prison terms.
Maximum release date
The sentence-completion date as described by Missouri DOC materials.
Detainer
A notice or request that another authority may want custody when the current hold ends.

Dent County Release Date by Custodian

The right source depends on whether the person is awaiting a Dent County case, serving a local sentence, committed to Missouri DOC, or held under federal authority. A current jail roster cannot calculate a future court result. Likewise, the state offender search is not a county booking archive and will not create a DOC record for a person held only at Dent County Jail.

South Central Correctional Center is nearby in Licking, but it is a Missouri DOC prison in Texas County. Its date records belong to DOC. Dent County Sheriff does not publish state-prison release dates, and a move between DOC institutions is a transfer rather than release.

Note: Begin with the person’s actual custodian, since county, state, and federal systems use different date labels and release processes.

Find a Dent County Projected Date

Gather the full legal name, date of birth, case number, booking number, or DOC number before searching. A name alone is weak. Then follow the path that matches the case and preserve both the date and the agency's exact label.

  1. Search Missouri Case.net for the Dent County docket. Read the judgment, jail-time credit, bond, amended orders, revocation entries, and any commitment to DOC.
  2. For a local sentence, call Dent County Jail at 573-729-3241 and ask for the sheriff's computed date, the credit used, and whether another hold affects physical release.
  3. For a state case, search the Missouri DOC Offender Search by DOC number when possible. Transcribe only the labels shown on the live result.
  4. If the public DOC result is unclear, use DOC Constituent Services for search help, then route a date question to the institutional caseworker.
  5. Check the Missouri Parole Board channel when parole eligibility or a Board-set date is involved. A hearing date alone is not an exit date.
  6. Near the event, confirm the custody transaction with the jail or DOC and ask whether another agency accepted custody.

The public DOC search covers active offenders and excludes discharged people. A no-result response does not prove release or no prior history. The DOC historical-data request path covers people who are or have been supervised and expressly includes Sentence Maximum Release Date and Sentence-I Minimum Release Date fields.

Dent County DOC Date Labels

No official static field dictionary reviewed for this project promised that every public DOC detail screen shows one universal “Projected Release Date” field. The live result must control. A public record may instead show status, location, supervision details, or sentence data. The CAPTCHA-gated interface can also change.

The official historical-data page does identify minimum and maximum release-date fields. The source can be reviewed at the Missouri DOC Sunshine Law page.

The screenshot supports the historical-record route. It does not promise that the public offender detail displays the same fields or that a minimum date is a guaranteed exit date.

DOC says general inquiries can receive policy or search help, while a specific status question should be directed to the institutional caseworker or probation and parole field officer. Its usual email response statement is not a statutory production deadline. When the date has legal importance, preserve the record date and seek the official source document.

Dent County Sentence Date Inputs

A court sentence is only the starting input. Exact wording matters. Concurrent sentences run at the same time, while consecutive sentences run one after another. Jail credit, offense date, statutory version, amended judgments, and more than one case can change the calculation. An appeal, resentencing, clerical correction, or revocation may alter what was known when an earlier date appeared.

Missouri's conditional-release framework under RSMo § 558.011 supplies fractions for many prison terms, but other laws, exclusions, Board authority, sentence facts, and credits can change how that framework applies. The maximum release date is sentence completion. Conditional release comes earlier for some eligible terms and begins supervised community custody.

Parole is another distinct event. The Board may consider an eligible prisoner and can set a later release date, deny release, or schedule later review. Eligibility does not create a right to leave on that day. Holds, sentence changes, unmet prerequisites, or a later Board action can still affect physical departure.

Dent County Dangerous-Felony Minimum Terms

Missouri's often-cited 85% rule is not a general rule for every prisoner. Under RSMo § 558.019, a person found guilty of a dangerous felony as defined in § 556.061 and committed to DOC must serve the statute's minimum prison term. The current provision includes 85% of the court-imposed sentence, or an age-based alternative stated in the law, subject to exact application.

“Dangerous felony” is a defined legal category. The phrase cannot be assigned from the everyday meaning of the offense name. The offense, governing version, judgment, and DOC calculation must be checked. A minimum term concerns eligibility for parole, conditional release, or other early DOC release. It still does not guarantee actual release when eligibility arrives.

The controlling statute is shown below through the Missouri Revisor page for § 558.019.

No Dent County Good-Time Calculator

No published Dent County jail good-time formula was found. No official weekend or holiday release rule was found either. Do not borrow a policy from another Missouri jail, subtract DOC credits from a county sentence, or move a date to a weekday without confirmation. For a county sentence, obtain the judgment, jail-time credit, and the sheriff's computed information.

Missouri earned compliance credits under RSMo § 217.735 apply to eligible people already under probation, parole, or conditional release. They can reduce a supervision term when the statute applies. They are not jail good time and do not predict the day a Dent County detainee walks out.

Ask the jail whether local policy or the court order affects a date that falls on a weekend or holiday. Without an official answer, the most accurate statement is that processing depends on the order, jail operations, verified holds, and the actual custody transaction.

No reliable Dent County release date can be computed from sentence length alone. The sheriff, court, or DOC must apply the rules to the actual record.

Note: A county-jail date and a DOC release date use different rules, even when both cases began in Dent County.

Why Dent County Release Dates Change

A date can move earlier or later as the record changes. Some changes correct the sentence input. Others alter eligibility or add a new custody claim. A court date can remain accurate as a legal event even when a receiving agency takes the person at the jail door.

Parole Board actionSets, denies, delays, or rescinds a release pathBoard record and institutional case staff

Use the label that the agency uses: parole eligibility, Board release, conditional release, maximum discharge, or actual jail release. Those terms should never be collapsed into a single “gets out” date.

Confirm Dent County Actual Release

Near the expected event, check the same agency again. For a county release, ask the Dent County Jail whether the booking ended in community release or transfer and request the date, time, type, and receiving agency. Pair that answer with Case.net when the legal cause matters. For a DOC event, use the public result, institutional caseworker, and field office as appropriate.

Missouri MOVANS handles qualifying local detention and court alerts through SMS or email. DOC notifications use the direct DOC registration channel after the May 2026 system change. The Dent County VINELink and MOVANS check explains that split. Alerts are useful prompts, but they are not certified release records and may not reveal whether a transfer followed.

A federal case follows a separate path. The BOP locator can display a released date for a sentenced federal prisoner, while a federal pretrial detainee may be under the U.S. Marshals Service and absent from BOP. “Not in BOP custody” does not establish present freedom. Check the federal docket and documented receiving agency.
